Manager, Compensation
About the role
The Manager, People (Assignment: Compensation) is responsible for leading the design and management of comprehensive compensation programs that support the organization’s strategic goals. This role contributes by shaping compensation strategies, advising leadership on pay equity and market competitiveness, and transitioning compensation processes toward scalable, automated solutions. The position plays a critical role in maintaining competitive and compliant compensation practices that align with organizational performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise-wide compensation strategy execution aligned with organizational goals
- Advisory HR and executive leadership on compensation philosophy, market competitiveness, and pay equity
- Manage and mentor compensation team members
- Develop and maintain compensation policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
- Lead compensation-related projects including restructurings and system implementations
- Design and administer salary structures, pay grades, and job architecture frameworks
- Conduct market pricing and benchmarking for clinical and non-clinical roles
- Ensure consistent compensation program administration across departments and locations
- Partner with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition on compensation offers and hiring strategies
- Oversee annual compensation planning including pay increases and market adjustments
- Design and manage incentive programs and bonus structures aligned with performance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, finance, healthcare administration, or related field
- Minimum six years of progressive compensation experience; healthcare experience preferred
- Minimum two years of leadership or people management experience preferred
- Experience with Workday HRIS and compensation software platforms
- Expertise in compensation program design, salary structures, incentive plans, and market analysis
- Experience managing healthcare compensation programs for clinical and non-clinical populations
- Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills
- Knowledge of compensation regulations and compliance requirements
Pay
Compensation ranges from $132,181 to $174,478 USD including base salary plus bonus. The organization offers a competitive total rewards package including 401(k) match and comprehensive healthcare coverage.
