About the Opportunity
The Manager, Commercial Finance role within the Commercial FP&A team in Strategic Finance is designed to provide critical financial insights that support business decision-making. This position is responsible for managing recurring financial reporting and analysis that inform senior leadership on revenue performance and commercial operations. The role contributes by delivering accurate financial data and commentary that underpin strategic revenue management and sales target setting.
Responsibilities
- Manage recurring revenue reporting workflows, including file maintenance, trackers, dashboards, and variance analysis with daily accuracy
- Prepare and update executive materials for KPI reviews, Board presentations, and senior leadership meetings
- Perform variance analysis on revenue and provide clear explanations of performance trends
- Support quarterly sales target-setting by assembling data, reconciling forecasts, and identifying risks and opportunities
- Oversee the commercial commission review process by analyzing attainment data and trends
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses to support revenue, GTM, and commercial leadership decisions
- Maintain and improve financial reporting infrastructure to enhance accuracy and efficiency
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Revenue, Sales Operations, and GTM teams to translate business drivers into financial context
- Ensure quality control of outputs by verifying data integrity and flagging anomalies
- Prioritize analyses and deliverables to maximize impact for commercial leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ years
- Expert proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets for complex reporting and troubleshooting
- Strong data analysis skills capable of working with multiple data sources and resolving discrepancies
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present data and commentary effectively to executives
- Experience supporting executive-level reporting such as KPI reviews, Board materials, and senior leadership presentations
- Ability to quickly learn existing processes and deliver independently with minimal supervision
- Proven success in fast-paced, results-oriented environments
- Background in commercial finance or sales finance, preferably within high-growth or ad tech contexts
