Manager-Clinical Value Analysis

About the role

We manage the clinical value analysis process to ensure high quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in products and services. Our team works closely with customers, facilitates recommendations, and reviews proposed contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead Clinical Value Analysis Committees, System Integration Councils, and Supply Stewardship Councils.
• Oversee the Backorder Process to identify clinical equivalents and substitute products or services.
• Serve as a clinical resource for the system, addressing any product or service inquiries.
• Manage the integration process for products or services with new facilities or conversions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Technical certificate from an accredited clinical program.
• 5 years of experience in utilizing clinical products, preferably in a hospital setting with Cath Lab, Cardiology, Operating Room, ICU, Emergency Department, Laboratory, or Respiratory.
• 5 years of inventory management experience preferred.
• Professional certification and/or license in clinical specialty preferred.

Qualifications

• Computer skills and dexterity for data entry and information retrieval.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
• Leadership, program planning, and development, project management, performance improvement, and quality management skills.
• Superior negotiating skills and ability to gain consensus between physicians, nursing administration, and vendors.
• Knowledge of medical supply chain and related clinical indicators within an acute care setting.
• Ability to analyze Diagnosis Related Groups cost, quality, outcomes, utilization profitability data, and compare utilization among Diagnosis Related Groups.

Skills

• Proficiency with Windows-style applications and various software packages specific to the role.
• Keyboard dexterity.
