Responsibilities
- Provides portfolio prioritization direction to clinical research support staff.
- Maintains healthy collaborative dynamics with research sponsored partners.
- Tracks the financial health of the portfolio and ensures alignment with operational resources.
- Develops, implements, and manages research division operating procedures (DOPs).
- Manages operational activities in compliance with regulations.
- Facilitates clinical communication between the program, leadership, and other HonorHealth departments.
- Designs, implements, and manages workflow organization and control for research divisions.
- Tracks productivity within the clinical trial portfolio.
- Evaluates new protocols for operational feasibility and participates in protocol selection.
- Closely monitors the activation process for new clinical trials.
- Develops strong relationships with sponsors and aligns research opportunities with investigators.
- Proactively resolves concerns that inhibit research performance.
- Reports on operational metrics to influence strategy, philanthropic support, and marketing.
- Regularly rounds in various areas of the department to ensure efficiency and seamless patient flow.
- Meets with patients/families to address concerns.
- Contributes to the recruitment and retention of talented staff through positive role modeling and mentoring.
- Fosters collaborative partnerships with medical, nursing, and non-licensed staff.
- Hires, administers changes in classification, salary actions, promotions, demotions, transfers, terminations, and disciplinary processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related field - Preferred
- Master's Degree in related field - Preferred
- 2 years Supervisory or Team Lead experience or program management experience - Required
- 5 years Clinical research experience - Required
