Manager, Client Services
About the Role
Kargo is hiring a Client Services Manager to own the day-to-day execution and client experience across a shared book of direct and programmatic accounts. This hybrid role requires onsite presence 4 days per week and serves as the connective tissue between clients and Kargo's internal teams, ensuring campaigns launch correctly, perform to goal, and create conditions for retention and growth.
Responsibilities
- Guide assigned accounts through the full campaign lifecycle—from kickoff to delivery—ensuring timely execution without delays, missing assets, or escalations.
- Build warm, responsive, trust-based client relationships, positioning Kargo as a reliable partner rather than a vendor.
- Deliver performance reports on schedule with clear takeaways to help clients understand campaign effectiveness and next steps.
- Catch discrepancies in assets, tags, and reporting before they become client issues, and track open items across multiple accounts.
- Proactively identify and flag upsell and renewal opportunities, handing them to sales or senior CS teams with sufficient lead time.
- Route demand-side needs, revenue blockers, and client feedback to the appropriate internal teams, keeping campaigns on track.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, creative, and senior CS team members, sharing context and following through on commitments.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in digital media, ad tech, or a client-facing role in agency planning, buying, or ad operations.
- Working knowledge of direct and programmatic campaign mechanics, including trafficking, tagging, and asset collection.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets for reporting, analysis, and data organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to build and deliver clear client-facing presentations.
- Familiarity with digital media metrics and industry terminology.
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and identify issues early.
Preferred: Experience working across cross-functional teams (sales, operations, creative) and exposure to campaign troubleshooting in direct or programmatic environments.
Pay
In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the anticipated base salary range for this position is $70,000—$85,000 USD. This role is also eligible for variable compensation, either through the Kargo Sales Incentive Plan (for sales roles) or an annual discretionary bonus (for other roles). Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, education, and skills.
