About the role
NVIDIA is seeking an experienced Chip Software Project Management leader to help define, build, and execute a chip through the entire silicon life cycle for use in various products (Automotive, Data Center, Embedded, and Mobile). For two decades, NVIDIA has pioneered visual computing and set the stage for advances in robotics, computer vision, and artificial intelligence. Today, NVIDIA is building a platform and solutions for Data Centers, Robotics, and Autonomous Machines.
Responsibilities
- Lead and implement all aspects of software planning and completion for SOC chips—coordinate the software POR, pre-silicon development, pre-silicon software validation, bring-up, and productization.
- Develop and expand comprehensive workflows for the SOC partner validation programs, handling engagement, qualification, onboarding, test execution, and result publication across multiple partners simultaneously.
- Build and expand strategic connections with partners. Act as the main program contact and find opportunities to improve execution efficiency across companies.
- Drive the simulation and emulation POR, planning, and schedule—work closely with Simulation and Emulation teams to build a prioritized plan and schedule for the project.
- Ensure teams provide all needed collaterals for the Software Product Life Cycle development process. Drive teams to develop software compliant with various Safety standards when applicable.
- As the focal point, schedule and lead status meetings, handling communication of progress/status within and across all software teams across multiple geographic locations.
- Partner closely with platform teams to define, prioritize, and execute bring-up of their custom requirements.
- Act as the primary interface to Auto, Data Center, Embedded, and Mobile software groups for all chip-related issues and communication.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of proven experience in related areas with at least 4+ years of management experience.
- Deep understanding of the software development life cycle.
- Proven software technical project management background in a matrix organization.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture: CPU, memory, buses and interconnects, Operating Systems, and device drivers.
- Experience managing programs that span external partner engagement and internal engineering delivery simultaneously, from onboarding through joint go-to-market.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Proven track record in leading software for Automotive, Data Center, and Mobile SOCs.
- Experience building or growing partner lab environments, encompassing security, compliance, and legal readiness frameworks.
- Knowledge of Pre-Silicon/Post-Silicon bring-up of complex SoC.
- Strong understanding of Safety standards such as ISO26262 and experience delivering Safety-compliant software.
