Manager, Ceded Reinsurance – Operations

About the role

The Manager full-time position sits within the Ceded Reinsurance Department, leading Clearbrook’s reinsurance strategy through tactful negotiations and execution of placements. The Ceded Re – Operations team plays a vital role throughout the reinsurance life cycle. The team performs a variety of responsibilities in a collaborative manner to support the execution of treaty placements and the daily needs of the programs thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Liaison to internal and external partners for ceded operations inquiries
• Create and enhance new processes to optimize efficiency
• Create upper management reporting materials for related committees
• Manage Security List and perform one-off market reviews for going concern
• Cook up counterparty reinsurance audits
• Maintain reinsurance and third-party capital transaction documentation
• Adequately ensure adherence to SOX controls and assist with audits/financial reporting
• Ad hoc projects and additional duties as assigned

Qualifications / Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or related equivalent work experience
• 4+ years of related work experience in reinsurance, reinsurance operations or reinsurance accounting
• Self-motivated individual with an ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Confident communicator at all levels of the organization and marketplace

Pay

Chicago Pay Range: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00
