Manager - Category Management

Responsibilities

• Creates and leads a team of Category Specialists in collaboration with the Director of Sourcing.
• Serves as the primary point of contact for Group Purchasing Organizations and other vendor representatives.
• Negotiates pricing and contracts for products, product groups, and services.
• Drives new product requests and tracks the evaluation processes using the Value Based Selection framework.
• Develops and monitors vendor policies and ensures adherence to hospital best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Monitors and evaluates contract volume, supply chain information system performance, purchasing volume and flow, and value-based selection reporting and outcomes.
• Documents and communicates savings success and engages end-users in needed process changes or product conversions.
• Utilizes market knowledge and best pricing tools to support strategic sourcing methods.
• Facilitates implementation of new or modified policies and procedures based on hospital best practices and compliance with federal, state, and regulatory agencies.
• Regularly presents to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Five (5) years of related work experience in Value Analysis, Contract Administration, Vendor Management, or Sourcing.

Healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a work-related field/discipline from an accredited college or university.

Effective communication skills, both oral and in writing, to persuade internal and external stakeholders.

Strategic planning and implementation abilities.

Complex relationship management and negotiation skills.

Pay

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $70.52 - $93.43 per hour.

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

Schedule

Full-time, Day shift (08:00 AM - 04:30 PM).
