Manager Business Intelligence

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with IS Directors and other appropriate staff in interviewing, hiring, evaluating and disciplining staff.
• Effectively communicates job expectations.
• Effectively communicates corporate and department plans, goals, objectives and priorities.
• Proactively identifies opportunities and addresses areas for high employee satisfaction and engagement.
• Sets the tone for a productive, professional work environment.
• Addresses performance issues appropriately while treating employees consistently, fairly and respectfully.
• Complies with all aspects of employment law.
• Provides for comprehensive, effective orientation of new hires and pursues ongoing professional development opportunities for the staff.
• Confirms time and attendance in Kronos.
• Conducts regular staff meetings and huddles.

Requirements

• Knowledge and experience with data warehouses and analytics and reporting tools, preferably Epic's Cogito ecosystem.
• Knowledge of Cloud based databases/warehouses (e.g. Databricks, Fabric, AWS); Databricks highly preferred.
• Knowledge of enterprise data visualization tools such (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, etc); Power BI preferred.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely to all levels of management.
• Ability to work collaboratively across organizational boundaries.
• Ability to work on multiple projects, balancing competing priorities.
• Experience managing a team of report writers, analysts, BI developers.
• Healthcare experience highly preferred.
• Experience with Agile and CI/CID preferred; Azure Devops highly preferred.
• Experience with AI preparation of data (vectorization and embedding) preferred.
• Experience with creation / deployment of Data Science and predictive models preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor degree in Information Services or related analytics field required.
• Epic (Cogito, Caboodle, Clarity, etc.), Databricks, Microsoft (Fabric/Azure) preferred.
• Years of relevant experience: Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience required.
• Years of supervisory experience: Two (2) years of management experience preferred and three (3) years of experience with data analytics and reporting preferred.
