About the role
The Manager, Business Applications leads the team responsible for supporting, optimizing, and enhancing NOVEC’s enterprise applications, including NISC platforms such as Customer Care & Billing (CC&B), SmartHub, and MDMS/OMS. This role ensures data integrity, continuous process improvement, automation, AI-enabled efficiencies, and innovation aligned with NOVEC’s operational goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage Business Applications Analysts and Senior Analysts.
- Oversee support, configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of NISC applications including CC&B, SmartHub, MDMS/OMS, and related workflows.
- Drive continuous process improvement to streamline operations and reduce manual work.
- Identify, develop, and implement automation and AI/ML use cases to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure end-to-end data integrity across NISC and integrated systems.
- Plan and coordinate testing, QA, and release management for NISC upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex user/system/process issues.
- Lead business process reviews and develop future-state process and technology recommendations.
- Manage vendor relationships including NISC, ensuring strong collaboration and effective support.
- Champion user readiness, training, documentation, and change management for new features or process changes.
- Prepare and maintain performance, stability, and operational reporting for leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- PMI-PBA or other Business Analysis Certification highly preferred.
- 7+ years of relevant experience, including leadership in business applications, IT, or operations.
- Experience with NISC applications is strongly preferred, including proficiency with NISC platforms (CC&B, SmartHub, MDMS/OMS) and system integrations.
- Experience with automation, AI implementation, workflow optimization, and continuous process improvement.
- Experience leading system upgrades, integrations, QA/testing, and release/change management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, and process mapping tools.

The anticipated starting salary within the posted range will be determined based on factors including education, relevant experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, internal equity, and market considerations.
