Manager , Biostatistics

About the role

This is a hybrid position and will require three days a week on-site. The role involves managing, implementing, and assessing approaches for the statistical operations of clinical studies, monitoring and improving processes to promote efficient management of study data, and generating interim and final statistical reports. The position oversees statistical aspects of project staffing, development and maintenance of study budgets, and provides management-level representation at operational meetings. The role participates in strategic organizational planning in collaboration with the leadership team and identifies and implements new systems to fill gaps and provide improvements in the current organization. The position works independently to provide statistical support to research studies, offers statistical and scientific input for major scientific projects as needed, and provides statistical consultation while overseeing technical statistical analyses and design. The role may also participate as Senior Statistician on clinical studies and/or methodological research, maintaining a working knowledge of all statistical aspects of studies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain working knowledge of all statistical aspects of studies.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Public Health or related field.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of related experience, or
• PhD in Statistics or Biostatistics with minimum six (6) years of experience.
• At least two (2) years of direct supervisory experience.
• Familiarity with data management applications and database support requirements in a clinical trials setting.
• Familiarity with statistical and data management programming tasks.
• Clinical study-related experience.
• Statistical project management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior management experience.
• SAS, Stata, or R programming experience.
• Medidata Rave experience.

Pay

$157,290.00 – $235,936.00 per year. This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided. This compensation range is specific to Seattle; positions located outside of Seattle may be compensated differently depending on various factors.
