Manager - Balance of Plant, Power Generation
Enerflex is a single-source supplier of products and services to the power generation, gas compression, and gas processing markets, supporting operations globally through corporate, regional, and field office infrastructure.
About the role
The ES Plus and Balane of Plant (BOP) Manager will lead the extended scope engineering solution by providing technical and commercial deliverables for power generation projects beyond packaged solutions. This role involves managing a team of engineers skilled in technical design, system optimization, cost estimation, and project execution. You will interface with third parties such as Engineering Service Companies or EPCs to complete front-end engineering design (FEED) on-time and on-budget, while assisting in commercial negotiations for vendor and customer contracts.
The goal of FEED is to enhance the overall Enerflex value proposition, control the desired scope of supply, and facilitate equipment installation by reducing uncertainty for customers in oil and gas, datacenters, petrochemical, and industrial markets. The equipment primarily includes reciprocating engine generator sets under 5 MW, with BOP scope covering electrical switchgear, transformers, heat exchangers, absorption chillers, Waste Heat Recovery units (WHRU), auxiliary systems, sound-attenuated buildings, fluids storage, and other power island and microgrid components.
FEED studies may include multi-unit equipment layouts, CFD studies, sound studies, installation estimates, installation schedules, dynamic load studies, and material take-offs.
