About the role
The Hourly Manager at Friendly's is responsible for managing daily restaurant operations with a focus on flawless execution, increasing profit, and enhancing the guest experience. This position oversees kitchen, dining, and take-out operations, facilitates production and customer service, ensures safety regulations and quality standards are maintained, and supports the team by working in a production position as needed.
Responsibilities
- Maintains team members during shifts.
- Provides on-shift coaching and corrections.
- Sets and enforces break schedules and ensures compliance with federal and state labor laws.
- Supervises and motivates hourly employees to provide friendly service and deliver great food and ice cream to all guests.
- Ensures proper execution of all Friendly's food handling procedures and recipes, in compliance with all daily operating procedures.
- Manages guest service by greeting, assisting guests, and addressing issues and concerns according to company policy.
- Opens and closes the restaurant, assigns and follows up on opening and closing daily operating procedures and housekeeping tasks to ensure cleanliness standards are maintained.
- Ensures all safety, security, and sanitation policies are consistently executed.
Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year of restaurant experience.
- Proven track record of achieving results and building successful teams.
- High school graduate or equivalent education.
- Ability to partner and build relationships while demonstrating leadership and integrity and promoting team success.
- Capable of performing all functions and meeting all qualification standards for all hourly positions.
- Knowledge of POS system and back office systems to fulfill management functions.
- Ability to walk and stand during an entire shift.
- Frequent bending and squatting required.
- Read, write, and communicate in English.
- Basic math skills.
- Able to hear well amidst loud background noise.
- Able to perform all job functions safely.
- Meets the company performance standards for the job.
- Completes a full background check.
Qualifications
