About the role
This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a life sciences environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI/ML solutions for health informatics from concept to implementation
- Translate clinical challenges into well-defined AI/ML problems with measurable success criteria
- Construct and manage ML pipelines involving data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, and evaluation
- Conduct experiments to validate model performance and make informed modeling decisions
- Collaborate with informaticists and engineers to integrate AI models into existing workflows
- Keep abreast of advancements in AI technology and their relevance to health data
- Document research findings for internal reports and potential external publications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS, Machine Learning, Data Science, Biomedical Informatics, Statistics, or related field; Ph.D./Master's preferred
- 4–6 years of experience in applied AI/ML, with capability to develop and evaluate models independently
- Strong understanding of supervised, unsupervised, and self-supervised learning; deep learning frameworks
- Expertise in Python and scientific ML libraries including scikit-learn and NumPy
- Experience with NLP and multimodal models, especially with LLMs
