About the role
The successful candidate will lead and manage assigned areas, translating objectives into effective actions to ensure high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include developing strategies for delivering quality care, coordinating with medical staff, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates patient care delivery
- Develops and implements strategies for quality patient care
- Ensures staff provides quality, effective care consistent with policies and procedures
- Maintains compliance with applicable regulations such as CLIA, OSHA, Medicare, etc.
- Facilitates the development of departmental policies and procedures
- Coordinates activities between clinical units to ensure quality patient care
- Monitors and evaluates quality of care
- Works closely with staff and peers to identify opportunities for improvement
- Collaborates with Medical Director to ensure program goals are established and achieved
- Resolves patient care issues as identified
- Reviews outcomes and evaluates operational systems to ensure ongoing improvement
- Creates a work environment that promotes continuous quality improvement, team building, and personal development
- Collaborates with medical staff and ancillary service providers to review practices, services, and resolve issues
- Selects, hires, trains, manages, and evaluates the effectiveness of employees
- Provides orientation, inservices, continuing education programs, and professional development
- Assists with the creation and oversight of clinic budgets
- Analyzes trends to develop long-range plans for budget needs
- Participates in committees and completes additional projects as assigned
- Serves as a direct supervisor for support staff within the clinical unit
Requirements
- Education: Associate's Degree OR High school diploma AND three (3) years of healthcare experience
- Certification: Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date
- Licensure: State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas
Qualifications
- Experience: Two (2) years in a healthcare management/supervisory position
