About the Role
At Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie company, we develop, manufacture, and market a portfolio of leading aesthetics brands and products. Our aesthetics portfolio includes facial injectables, body contouring, plastics, skin care, and more. This role focuses on building data and information needed for internal documents and scientific reports related to clinical trials, while keeping multiple reports moving forward simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Prepare scientific reports and presentations related to clinical trials using available software and templates.
- Review and contribute to clinical protocols by utilizing expertise to assist in data interpretation.
- Coordinate advisory meeting agendas, activities, slide decks, and consulting agreements.
- Comply with procedures set forth in relevant IQS documents, study protocols, and other management directives regarding clinical studies.
- Lead study development by applying the most current electronic document conventions and processes to ensure scientific integrity.
- Receive and complete tasks and assignments from function, Therapeutic Area MD, or Scientific Staff within timelines with minimal supervision.
- Maximize individual, functional/therapeutic area, and team productivity.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and review key decisions impacting project timelines with management.
- Analyze clinical study data, including statistical data, using available software to assist with ongoing blinded/un-blinded PK, safety, and efficacy reviews.
- Perform literature and competitive intelligence searches to resolve scientific and technical problems.
- Provide and present key clinical study information to function, therapeutic area, and management.
- May lead teams within the therapeutic area, supervise exempt and/or non-exempt direct reports, and mentor personnel.
The position is based onsite in Irvine, CA.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a science-related field with 11+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, or Pharm-D/PhD with 1+ year of experience.
- Ability to understand complex clinical study principles.
- Advanced understanding of technology necessary to analyze clinical study data, generate reports, and create presentations, posters, and manuscripts.
- Experience in team leadership, drug development, and scientific project leadership or related areas.
- Experience supporting clinical research, drug development, and/or function/therapeutic area operations.
- Proven record of successful projects.
- Experience in multi-faceted, broad-based functions or clinical functions with in-depth knowledge of clinical study issues.
- Ability to appropriately and effectively use resources to complete tasks and meet required timelines.
- Ability to produce high-quality work by paying attention to detail.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
