SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Manager, Actuarial for the Businessowners Policy (BOP) Product Development unit of our Commercial Actuarial team.
What you’d be doing
- Manage the product development of new and existing Businessowner Policy products.
- Lead rate adequacy (indication) reviews and renewal impact analyses to support the profitable growth of SageSure Commercial Lines.
- Manage end-to-end product filings, including responses to rate-related objections from the Departments of Insurance.
- Assist with research projects, including analysis of predictive model results and determining value of new third-party data in risk segmentation and rating.
- Conduct competitive intelligence analyses.
- Communicate analyses, project results, and other business initiatives on a regular basis to staff, peers, and business partners.
- Manage and guide the professional development of 2-4 direct reports.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or STEM-related field.
- ACAS or FCAS, FCAS a plus.
- 5+ years of P&C insurance experience.
- Strong understanding of P&C insurance products and industry. Commercial Property or Businessowners Policy (BOP) product experience is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical resources.
- Strong technical skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, R and SQL.
- Prowess in organizational and time-management skills; strong attention to detail.
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills; ability to think critically and strategically.
