The Manager, Accounts Receivable - Workers Compensation role is a fully remote leadership opportunity based in the United States. This position is listed on behalf of a partner company managing all applications and next steps.

About the role

You will lead a team responsible for driving timely, accurate reimbursement and effective management of outstanding accounts. The role combines people leadership, performance management, process improvement, auditing, and cross-functional collaboration. Key responsibilities include providing daily direction and communication to the team, leading and developing the team, monitoring key financial and operational metrics, establishing and maintaining audit processes, and collaborating across departments to align priorities and improve workflows.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations, with a minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare Accounts Receivable, billing, reimbursement, and revenue cycle processes.
  • Experience with practice management systems; familiarity with hospital EMR platforms such as Epic and/or eClinicalWorks is preferred.
  • Ability to calculate patient responsibility, including deductibles and coinsurance, and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), and International Classification of Diseases (ICD) coding.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Professional customer service skills and strong phone communication etiquette.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, remain flexible, and maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality requirements and the ability to appropriately handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • A collaborative, accountable, innovative, and ethical approach to leadership, with a demonstrated bias toward action and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment while maintaining team engagement, performance, and communication.
