Responsibilities
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes ensuring accurate financial reporting through use of automated workflows and system integrations
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and billing outputs while validating accuracy of automated processes and ensuring timely invoicing
- Identify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities across accounting and billing functions
- Partner with finance, operations, technology, and other stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and support business initiatives
- Ensure effective design and execution of internal controls including compliance with audit and regulatory requirements
- Lead and develop team members while building capability in automated and data driven workflows
- Maintain and enforce accounting policies and procedures while ensuring consistent application across processes
- Support talent development including hiring, onboarding, and training with focus on evolving skillsets and process improvements
Qualifications
- Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree
- Experience Requirements: 6–8 years experience in relevant field (Accounting, controllership, or financial reporting experience preferred)
- Travel Requirement: No travel required
- Supervisor Responsibility: Directs, coaches, and develops direct and indirect reports using company-wide processes, tools, and resources
- Required Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements, strong analytical and problem solving skills, experience improving processes and implementing automation solutions, knowledge of internal controls and compliance requirements, strong communication and leadership skills, experience using financial systems and data tools
Environmental & Physical Requirements
- Office / Sedentary Requirements: Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically, requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may require the ability to lift up to 10lbs.
