Manager, Accounting

About the Role
The Manager, Accounting will report to the Chief Accounting Officer and be actively engaged in operational and financial reporting activities across the Company’s core businesses and strategies. This role requires a strong individual contributor who thrives in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment, brings experience in building scalable processes, and has a background in a structured close and reporting baseline. The Manager will play a key role in leveraging the ERP and technology platform while establishing a more institutional framework. This role will collaborate across all strategies and work closely with accounting and finance personnel.
Responsibilities
- Enhance and develop baseline accounting processes and procedures across multi-entity strategies.
- Assist with the production and oversight of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes across strategies.
- Assist with oversight and preparation of accurate GAAP-compliant consolidated financial statements and management reports in accordance with established deadlines.
- Implement operational efficiencies, streamline monthly close reconciliations, and enhance analytics through process changes and leveraging technology.
- Support operational insight to senior management through timely financial closes, reporting packages, and variance analysis in partnership with FP&A and business leaders.
- Collaborate with other areas across strategies including legal, tax, and construction/development to ensure alignment and coordination on accounting and financial reporting matters.
- Support new fund and product launches including configuration of the ERP, integration with subledger platforms, and assessment of accounting and reporting implications.
- Assist in researching, documenting, and applying US GAAP to complex transactions (e.g., leases, revenue recognition, equity, investment company accounting).
- Assist with Fund Accounting reporting and oversight to ensure integration of systems, accurate reporting to investors, and capital management activities.
- Monitor current accounting and financial reporting developments to ensure a thorough understanding of impacts, compliance, and best practices as applicable.
- Support REIT compliance and coordinate with tax advisors on federal, state, and local matters.
- Document accounting policies, establish financial reporting workflows, and contribute to building out a scalable, efficient framework to ensure audit readiness and reporting accuracy.
- Assist with implementation of key systems and technology utilization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, project management, and legal teams to ensure accounting processes align with established financial reporting timeframes and requirements.
- Leverage AI and technology capabilities to streamline, automate, and create operational efficiencies while reducing manual processes.
- Perform various special projects and ad-hoc analyses across business strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience with monthly close, financial statements, and journal entries.
- Proven ability to build and scale accounting operations in a high-growth environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. GAAP, consolidations, and technical accounting matters.
- Industry experience in data centers, real estate, or infrastructure is preferable.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as NetSuite and advanced Excel capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or MBA.
- Familiarity with REITs and international operations is a plus.
Pay
Expected base salary range: $150,000–$160,000 + discretionary bonus.
