Mammography - US Technologist

About the role

HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital is seeking a Mammography - US Technologist to join their team. This position involves performing diagnostic procedures with ultrasound and mammography, operating diagnostic equipment, preparing rooms, and assisting physicians during invasive procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic equipment, verify images, and prepare rooms with necessary equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Select proper technical factors to produce diagnostic quality images.
• Ensure safe and competent operation of radiographic and ultrasound equipment.
• Maintain compliance with accredited and regulatory requirements.
• Perform clerical, scheduling, transportation, ordering supplies, inventory, cleaning, and other tasks as directed.
• Directly supervise students at the discretion of the area supervisor.

Qualifications

• BLS-Healthcare Provider (ARRT-R)
• Radiography or Registry eligible (RT)
• Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
• SCRQSA registry licensure required
• Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) required
• BR certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment
• Graduate of an AMA approved Ultrasound school
• Completed Mammography education, clinicals, and ready to sit for Mammography Registry; Mammography Registry preferred
• Previous Ultrasound Technologist preferred
