About the role
This position is responsible for performing patient exams and overseeing the Quality Assurance program following MQSA regulations. Ensures all equipment is in operational order and all quality assurance measures have been completed.
Responsibilities
- Monitors and continuously updates Technologist and Radiologist credentials and continuing education.
- Works closely with the Supervisor to maintain all records needed to continuously prepare and participate in annual MQSA inspections.
- Oversees daily quality control and workflow to ensure quality services are provided in an efficient and effective manner, meeting or exceeding all applicable regulatory licensure and accrediting regulations.
- Develops, maintains, and analyzes performance improvement outcomes to improve departmental services consistent with Hospital and regulatory requirements.
- Performs mammography, stereo biopsies, and bone density examinations consistent with professional protocols.
- Performs and is responsible for Quality Assurance and Quality Control on all equipment as required by standards.
- Ensures the department is prepared for yearly state inspections, ACR accreditation every 3 years, and MQSA compliance.
- Ensures supplies are adequate and all equipment is cleaned and maintained in good operating condition.
- Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.
- Complies with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
- Attends variety of meetings, conferences, seminars as required or directed.
- Demonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operations.
- Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements.

- Maintains regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited radiological technologist program AND 450 hours training in Mammography including 200 patient exams.
- Valid Massachusetts license in Radiology and Mammography from the Department of Public Health.
- Primary and advanced registration through the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Minimum three (3) years as a Radiology Technologist.
- Minimum one (1) year as a Mammography Technologist.
- Demonstrated ability to provide a quality diagnostic exam in a fast-paced setting, collaborating with peers to produce optimum results.
- Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Shift: 1 – Day Shift, 8 hours
- 40 hours per week
Pay
Hiring range: $35.94 – $58.96 per hour. The final offer may vary within this range based on a candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations. This position may have a signing bonus available; a member of the Recruitment Team will confirm eligibility during the interview process.
