About the role

This per diem Mammography Technologist role involves performing and assisting with breast imaging procedures to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Independently conduct mammography exams, including screening, diagnostic, ultrasounds, wire localizations, biopsies, and clip placements, following established protocols and standards.
  • Verify patient identity and procedure details, providing clear instructions to ensure patient comfort and safety.
  • Ensure proper imaging techniques, equipment settings, and safety protocols are followed.
  • Perform quality control on imaging equipment and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
  • Coordinate with healthcare teams to facilitate patient care and assist in training students or entry-level technologists.
  • Maintain supplies and participate in ongoing education and training.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Associate degree in Radiology or related field.
  • ARRT-certified in Radiologic Technology and Mammography.
  • State license or license eligibility in radiologic technology.
  • Minimum of four years of mammography experience.
  • Basic Life Support certification.

Physical & Safety Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 35 lbs, manual dexterity, and attentiveness to safety protocols, including exposure to bodily fluids.
