Mammography Technologist

About the role

The Mammography Technologist performs technical procedures involving ionizing radiation to detect pathology in patients. Duties include regulating equipment, completing paperwork, organizing and preparing images for interpretation, and maintaining ALARA standards.

Responsibilities

• Regulate equipment used to expose image receptors
• Complete appropriate paperwork and computer applications
• Organize and prepare images for interpretation by radiologists
• Operate equipment safely and maintain ALARA standards
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with fellow employees and other departments

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date
• ARRT-M Mammography
• ARRT-R Radiography
• Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer Certification
• High School Diploma/GED
• No travel required
• One year of experience required

Qualifications

• High School Graduate / GED

Skills

• Knowledge of ionizing radiation techniques
• Ability to maintain ALARA standards
• Proficiency in computer applications
• Excellent communication skills
