Mammography Technologist

Role and Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms, breast biopsies, needle localizations, and interventional procedures.
• Provide direct patient care, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Assist with patient follow-up, education, and communication with radiologists.
• Mentor and train new staff and students.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards (ACR, MQSA, FDA, Kansas licensing).
• Ensure proper documentation, report preparation, and use of breast imaging software.
• Support other medical staff as needed and maintain a clean, sterile work environment.
• Complete mandatory educational and credentialing requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

• High School Diploma and graduation from an accredited Radiology technologist program.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) and ARRT certification in Mammography.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Knowledge of 3D Tomosynthesis and Stereotactic procedures.
• PREFERRED: 1+ years of mammography experience.
