About the role
The Mammography Technologist operates in the mammography department, demonstrating advanced knowledge and responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Completes and passes mammography competencies within one year of employment.
- Passes ARRT mammography boards within one year of employment.
- Performs weekly quality control as required by FDA and ACR.
- Proficiently performs routine and diagnostic mammography exams on all equipment at each campus.
- May perform other mammography-guided procedures under the supervision of a radiologist, supervisor, or lead technologist.
- Works various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays at multiple campuses.
- Covers on-call duties as needed or assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology approved by CAHEA/JERCT.
- ARRT certified.
- Licensed or license eligible with the State of Vermont.
- Previous Mammography Technologist experience or at least 1 year of experience as a Radiology technologist who has successfully completed all Radiology competencies.
