Mammography Tech $15K Hiring Incentive

About the role

Performs screening and diagnostic mammography procedures with a thorough understanding of FDA and MQSA regulations as well as CA state requirements. Responsible for equipment quality control test documentation. Must meet the continuing education requirements for California, FDA and American College of Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting physicians in interpreting orders and explaining procedures to RNs, patients and families.
• Absent from the Program Manager, may assume a leadership role to ensure continuity of service.
• May attend meetings or participate in programs to improve operations or services.
• Works within a digital imaging environment.

Requirements

• Must be able to speak and read English at a level sufficient to perform essential functions of the position.
• Knowledge of standard office equipment and personal computer skills required.
• Proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the first two weeks of employment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: As required by certification and/or licensure
• Preferred Education: Associate degree
• Minimum Experience: 1 - 2 years
• Preferred Experience: 3 - 4 years

Skills

• Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier)
• Personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail)
• Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations
