About the Role

The Mammography Technologist performs specialized breast imaging procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease. This includes operating mammographic equipment, performing advanced procedures such as stereotactic and MRI biopsies, and ensuring high-quality imaging and accurate labeling.

Responsibilities

• Review exam requisitions and position patients for mammographic procedures.
• Select appropriate imaging protocols and evaluate image quality.
• Obtain additional images as necessary to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
• Perform advanced breast imaging procedures, including stereotactic and MRI biopsies.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and ensure departmental adherence.
• Provide excellent patient support and mentorship to junior staff.
• Assist in planning diagnostic procedures and ensure accurate documentation.
• Demonstrate proficiency in radiological procedures across all age groups and breast imaging interventional techniques.

Requirements

• Graduate of a JRCERT-approved Radiologic Technology program.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist in Radiography and Mammography (ARRT).
• BLS certification required.
