Malignant Hematologist Physician - AdventHealth Cancer Institute - Orlando, Florida
About the role
AdventHealth is seeking physicians specializing in hematology and/or medical oncology, particularly in heme malignancies (acute leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma), stem cell transplant, and cellular therapies. The program is well-established and has been FACT-accredited for over 10 years. It includes a FDA-registered, FACT and CAP-accredited cellular therapy lab with plans to achieve GMP capability soon. Over 1500 transplants have been performed, including autologous and allogeneic, with approximately 130-150 transplants annually. Multiple FDA-approved CAR-T therapies for lymphoma and myeloma are offered, with outcomes consistently exceeding national averages.
Responsibilities
- Participate in clinical research and translational/basic science research opportunities
- Support a team of 12 APPs (APRNs and PAs), 6 coordinators, 3 clinical pharmacists, and administrative assistance
- Work in state-of-the-art facilities including 32-bed ICU-compatible rooms and outpatient facilities
- Engage in active participation in cooperative groups and industry-sponsored clinical trials
- Collaborate with dedicated clinical research staff and experienced hematopathologists with in-house molecular testing capabilities
Requirements
- Board certification in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology
- Experience in allogeneic stem cell transplants
