Male HHA's Needed in Orange County, NY

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized care and assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Aid clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Monitor and report changes in clients' health and behavior to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and supportive relationship.
• Administer medications as directed and maintain accurate records of care provided.
• Transport clients to medical appointments, errands, and social activities as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid PCA or HHA Certificate.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures.
• Experience working with patients in hospice care, memory care, or those with developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Ability to lift and transfer patients safely utilizing hoyer lift and wheelchair.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must speak English fluently.
• Must have reliable transportation to commute to clients' homes.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are highly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing high-quality caregiving.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience using phone device to clock in an out for work shifts and assignments.
