Male Day Porter/Janitor, Earlywine Park YMCA

About the role

To carry out the custodial responsibilities in maintaining buildings as outlined in the YOKC Maintenance Manual. Minimal direction and supervision are necessary for this position, must be a self-starter! Starting at $11.00 per hour!

Responsibilities

• Ensure Mirrors/Windows/Glass were cleaned daily
• Trash Management (emptied and wipe containers)
• Vacuum All Carpet Areas
• Toilet/Urinal/Sink Clean and Disinfect
• Refill and Clean Dispensers
• Showers Disinfect and Clean throughout the day and as needed
• Scrub/Mop Hard Floors (maintain clean flooring surfaces)
• Auxiliary with Deep Clean (Carpet, Tile, etc.)
• High Dust
• Auxiliary with Stairwell/Running Track detail
• Auxiliary with Air Dispenser Cartridge Change
• Auxiliary with Exterior Window Cleaning
• Report any facility issues through supervisor
• Secure facility at the end of shift
• Develop meaningful and sustainable relationships with members, donors, and volunteers.
• Auxiliary in all other duties that pertain to Janitorial

Educational and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have good communication skills, and the ability to follow directions
• Able to use technology to track time worked
