Makeup Artist

About the role

As a Makeup Artist, you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of our clients and help them look and feel their best. We're looking for an individual with strong cosmetic knowledge and creative skills to create a memorable experience for our clients.

Schedule & location

Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 9am to 6pm at the ABH Salon in Beverly Hills, CA.

Responsibilities

• Provide make up application services and make up lessons that meets the Company standards
• Responsible for achieving service goals set by Management
• Responsible for achieving sales goals set by Management
• Uphold all CA state laws for safety and sanitation
• Ensure the counter, shelves and gondolas are customer ready throughout the entire business day from opening to closing
• Ensure product is stocked throughout the day
• Uphold high standards of counter hygiene by regularly cleaning display units, tools, and testers throughout the day
• Manage and maintain optimal inventory levels by performing stock counts, ensuring proper rotation, and ensuring timely replenishment
• Place orders, unpack and count orders
• Establish strong client relationships by actively listening to their needs and preferences and offering personalized recommendations
• Assisting customers with their questions or requests
• Ensure wax and make up stations are sanitized and stocked throughout the day
• Wax and AC off at the end of the day

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of experience in the cosmetics industry
• Strong understanding of beauty trends and a passion for makeup
• Expert knowledge on Golden Ratio Eyebrow shaping method and how to appropriately use ABH products
• Cosmetology license required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills
• Comfortable using a variety of makeup products
• High level of customer service and excellent communication skills
• Foster a positive and collaborative attitude in your work and interactions with colleagues
• Support and contribute to an environment of open communication and professionalism
• Able to take direction and work independently
• Adhere to dress code guidelines

Pay

Starting base salary is $22.00 hourly plus commission and tips. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and geographical location.
