Make Ready Technician

Location: The Gardens Columbus, 3701 Governors Club Blvd

About the role

Assists in performing a variety of custodial and general maintenance duties related to apartment turns at a multifamily residential property. This includes heavy cleaning duties, painting, repairing apartment interiors, and basic maintenance tasks. This position reports needed repairs to the maintenance supervisor to help property meet regulated standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic maintenance functions under the guidance of the maintenance supervisor with apartment turns, including drywall repair, painting, etc. (40%)
• Responsible for cleaning vacant apartments and common areas (40%)
• Assists the Maintenance Technicians with managing work orders related to apartment turns and preventative maintenance (10%)
• Provides excellent customer service to residents with friendliness, positive attitude, empathy, and responsibility (10%)

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in Commercial Property or Multi-Unit Residential Property
• High School Diploma or GED (3–4 years of experience can offset minimum educational requirements)
• Preferred certifications: HVAC (depending on property), Electrical, or Plumbing
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on property needs
• Computer and smart phone literacy required
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, for all work-related responsibilities
• Multilingual skills are a plus
