About the role

This position is empowered by the Maintenance Supervisor to build and maintain a collaborative work environment while delivering the highest quality of customer service.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for light maintenance, i.e., 'trashing' vacant apartments, removing carpet, etc.
- Responsible for light landscaping duties, i.e., weeding, watering, planting flowers, etc.
- Routinely inspects and maintains buildings and property to ensure appearance of the community is consistent with company standards and any applicable federal, state and local laws
- Affords assistance to Maintenance staff in ensuring Make Ready Units are consistent with the basic principles of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and drywall, appliance, keys and locks
- Snow removal when needed
- Provides high quality customer service according to GCI’s customer service principles in order to maximize resident retention
Requirements
- General Maintenance experience/Knowledge in HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical preferred
- Dedication to exceeding the needs of all customers with an ability to build and maintain relationships
- Demonstrate thoroughness, self-motivation and organization when accomplishing tasks
- Ability to work a non-traditional schedule including evenings, weekends and on-call hours as needed
Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Valid Drivers License Required
Skills
General Maintenance experience/Knowledge in HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical preferred
