Make Ready Technician

About the role

Envolve Community Management is searching for a part-time Make Ready Technician to work at Shady Oaks Manor Apartment Community in Fort Worth, TX. The Make Ready Technician will perform cleaning and upkeep of the building and grounds, prepare units for move-in, and perform repairs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare apartments for move-in after the previous resident has vacated.
• Clean and clear the interior of apartments.
• Maintain daily upkeep and cleaning of the exterior of the property.
• Report areas that are unprofessional in appearance beyond their control and make recommendations.
• Remove trash and all items left by the previous resident.
• Repair and prepare walls, doors, wood trim, closets, and cabinets for painting.
• Repair glass items such as windows, medicine cabinets, light globes, and mirrors.
• Ensure proper operation of appliances including stove, vent-a-hood, garbage disposal, refrigerator, dishwasher, water heater, HVAC, washer, and dryer.
• Repair minor problems and report major issues (e.g., major HVAC repairs, large sheetrock repairs) to management.
• Ensure proper operation of all window blinds and/or curtains.
• Ensure all door latches operate properly and have the proper carpet clearance.
• Install weather stripping around doors and windows where required.
• Repair bathroom floor and wall tile when required.
• Repair all leaking faucets, water pressure lines, and drain line leaks.
• Help create and maintain a company culture designed to develop loyalty, team spirit, and unity.
• Perform other duties as assigned, which the employee is capable of performing.

Requirements

• Three or more years of Maintenance or Make Ready experience.
• Ability to move heavy equipment safely using proper equipment.
• Availability for after-hours and emergency maintenance calls.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must pass a background screening and drug test.
