About the Role
As a Make Ready Technician, you’ll work with the Community Manager and Maintenance Supervisor to ensure vacated apartments are restored to "market ready" status efficiently and according to schedule. This role is critical to maintaining a positive impression for existing and prospective residents, requiring high-quality customer service and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Check and replace all lights as necessary
- Repair or replace windows, latches, screens, hinges, sliding glass doors, shelves, baseboards, and mirrors
- Inspect appliances and report issues to the Maintenance Supervisor if beyond your scope
- Assist in changing or removing appliances from apartments
- Make keys when necessary
- Repair or replace faucets, sink plugs, washers, and perform exterior repairs to sinks and bathtubs
- Prep and paint all vacant units
- Repair or replace curtains, mini-blinds, ceiling fans, and plaster holes in walls
- Inspect and perform minor repairs or replacements on bathroom tiles
- Change A/C filters and operate carpet cleaning equipment
- Inspect vacated apartments, complete checklists, and report needed services to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager
- Assist with trash-out of apartments, including moving heavy/bulky items to the dumpster
- Replace vacancy locks and P.O. box locks when requested
- Assist in keeping grounds clean at all times
- Support maintenance tasks as requested
- Deliver notices to apartments and report supply needs to the Community Manager or Maintenance Supervisor
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Community Manager or Maintenance Supervisor

- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, or similar programs
Schedule
Full-time, 35-40 hours per week (typically 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM). Schedule may change based on market conditions, daylight savings time, or requests from management. Must be available to work on Saturdays.
