The Make Ready Auto Detailer position prepares and details vehicles for delivery, ensuring they meet dealership standards before being presented to customers.

Responsibilities

• Trains and assists other make ready and detail technicians
• Orders and inventories make ready supplies
• Acts as liaison between department staff and sales managers to facilitate the process for new and pre-owned vehicles
• Details clients’ vehicles as needed
• Maintains strict adherence to dealership policy on client vehicle care and operation
• Notes damage and notifies Service so a claim can be filed within 24 hours
• Performs quality control inspection of all vehicles before being brought to frontline
• Coordinates with sales and service to ensure on-time deliveries
• Attends department meetings

Requirements

• Authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to pass preliminary applicant screenings including drug test, criminal background check, and possess a valid driver’s license approved by the company’s insurer
• Regularly required to talk or hear
• Frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms
• Occasionally required to utilize manual dexterity as well as stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
