Description
Do you have 10-15 hours a month to help a foster child?
CASA of San Joaquin County matches each CASA with a staff member, who works with them on their case. CASA of San Joaquin County is the only nonprofit organization in San Joaquin County designated by the Court to recruit, train, and lead CASA volunteers.
Requirements
- be at least 21 years old,
- have a valid Driver's License, with fewer than 3 points on your driver's record,
- have access to an insured vehicle,
- have no DUI's in the past 10 years,
- have no history of domestic violence or crimes against children,
- have no OPEN or substantiated cases with Child Protected Services against you or anyone in your household
Training
Complete & Submit our online APPLICATION (link below), Participate in a pre-training interview with one of our staff members (they will contact you), Complete our 30-hour training curriculum (half online and half in-person).
Volunteers. Training will be done both online and in-person at our Newberry office. Please visit our web page for upcoming training schedules, on our webpage you will also find a link to our online application as well as more information about our program and requirements for becoming a CASA Volunteer.

Location
