Major Projects - Cost Controller

Duties

• Monitor and report project financial performance using KPIs.
• Conduct cost estimation and budgeting for projects, considering all financial inputs.
• Create and update monthly forecasts for capital spending for the year.
• Aid in the development of the VISTRA Long Range Plan (LRP).
• Ensure consistency in work practices and knowledge sharing to optimize project control activities.
• Achieve business financial goals on a monthly basis.
• Manage processes and procedures related to project schedule, cost, and risk management.
• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, aligning with site and stakeholder requirements.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project financial risks, developing risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Construction Management (recommended).
• Technical expertise in analytical and mathematical skills, and knowledge of Project Controls processes and guidelines.
• General understanding of nuclear operations, practices, and processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficient in Microsoft Office products especially Excel.
• Knowledgeable in SAP enterprise software (recommended).
• 5+ years of combined finance, construction, or project controls experience, including budgeting, scheduling, project support, or project management.
