Major Loss Examiner - Workers' Compensation
Overview
AmTrust Financial has an immediate need for a Workers’ Compensation Major Loss Examiner to join their team. The ideal candidate will have jurisdictional expertise in Florida and/or Georgia, with additional preferred knowledge of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Texas. The successful candidate will handle complex claims including Workers' Compensation-related cases.
Responsibilities
- Evaluating coverage issues and risk transfer opportunities
- Ensuring appropriate investigation of the underlying facts and circumstances is carried out, proper experts are retained and utilized where necessary, selection and utilization of counsel is appropriate, and proper negotiation strategy is employed
- Effectively communicating exposures both internally and externally
- Formulating proper resolution strategies to achieve the best total outcome
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in handling or litigating complex workers' compensation claims
- Proficient computer skills to navigate the company's paperless claim file system
- A high level of technical claim and legal knowledge and skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- The ability to professionally interact with both internal and external parties
- The ability to adapt to changing situations, requirements, or priorities
- The ability to effectively influence others without damaging relationships
- A skillful negotiator
- A home state adjuster license preferred
- CPCU designation or AIC certification preferred
Pay
The expected salary range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000 annually. Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only.
