Key Responsibilities
- Create and execute fundraising and stewardship strategies for a portfolio of approximately 100-125 individual donors for annual gifts of $25,000 and more, as well as multi-year commitments.
- Implement long- and short-term plans to meet revenue goals for general operating, special project, and campaign funding priorities.
- Pipeline Management
- Execute and track moves management for major gift donors and prospects within the MGO’s portfolio, with the goal of increased and new giving.
- Plan and execute one-on-one meetings, station tours, and other gatherings and points of connection, to further cultivation and stewardship objectives.
- Proposal Development & Solicitation
- Partner across development team on the creation of innovative, engaging, and intimate stewardship, communication and solicitation strategies.
- Establish strong relationships and lines of communication with program staff, working together to create accurate and impact-driven messaging that increases donor awareness and engagement with NYPR’s work.
Qualifications
- Passionate and dynamic storyteller who thrives on building relationships and creating transformative experiences that inspire donors to take action
- At least 5 years of front-line fundraising experience, preferably managing an active portfolio of individual donors
- Proven track record of securing gifts of $25,000 and above
- Experience coordinating volunteer-led fundraising activities
- Knowledge of NYC philanthropic and cultural communities; classical music experience a plus
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office, Slack, Zoom, and CRM databases (Salesforce a plus)
- Self-starter with ability to learn quickly and work independently
- Highly motivated, organized, flexible, and proactive
- Strong time- and project-management skills
- Excellent communication skills—both oral and written
- To work onsite at NYPR’s New York City office at least 2 days a week
Additional Information
This is a full-time role with an annual salary range of $85,000 to $95,000. Salary offered within this range is determined by skills, experience and organizational pay equity.
