About the role
The Major Gift Officer is responsible for identifying and cultivating high-value donors to support the organization’s fundraising goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to secure major gifts from individuals and foundations.
- Research potential donors and prepare compelling case statements for solicitation.
- Manage donor relationships, including regular communication and event attendance.
- Collaborate with other departments to align fundraising efforts with organizational priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of successful fundraising experience.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with donors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with donor management software is a plus.
Skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising principles and practices.

Pay
- Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually.
