Major Gift Officer

About the role

Family Legacy Missions International is seeking a Major Gifts Officer to join their Development team. This Christ-centered ministry serves vulnerable and orphaned children in Zambia through education, care, discipleship, and long-term support. The ideal candidate will be a relational, mission-minded fundraiser with experience in major gifts, donor cultivation, stewardship, and face-to-face relationship building.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Five (5+) years of major gifts experience in a nonprofit organization
• Demonstrated track record of personally closing major gifts, including six-figure commitments
• Proficient in donor database software and prospect research tools
• A vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and faithful participation in a local church grounded in the truth of biblical Christianity
• Agree with our Philosophy of Ministry
• Willingness and enthusiasm to travel to Zambia

• A strong relational fundraiser with major gifts experience
• Compelled by international ministry and vulnerable children
• Comfortable cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding high-capacity donors
• A self-starter who can manage a portfolio with excellence
• Deeply aligned with Christian mission and values
