Maintenance Worker, Shenandoah National Park
About the Role
Delaware North Parks and Resorts is seeking a full-time Maintenance Worker to join our team at Shenandoah National Park in Luray, Virginia. This is a year-round position with low-cost housing available until 11/1/2026.
Pay
$16.00 per hour.

Responsibilities
- Paint, hang, and repair drywall as needed, and install shelves, hooks, and closet rods
- Change light bulbs, replace fixtures, open clogged drains, and repair leaks
- Perform lawn maintenance, including mowing and removing weeds
- Ensure tools and equipment are in working order and keep the maintenance room in neat condition
- Assist with loading or unloading trucks of maintenance parts and supplies
- Drive a company vehicle daily
Requirements
- No high school diploma or GED required
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Minimum of two years of previous experience in general maintenance and repair
- Previous experience with fire and boiler heat systems preferred
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Physical Requirements
- Frequent pushing, pulling, squatting, and kneeling
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Standing and walking 100% of the time
- Must be able to work outside in all types of weather
Schedule
- Days, evenings, holidays
- Monday through Friday, weekends
