About the role
Join the County of Sonoma as a Maintenance Worker at the Annapolis Road Yard. Starting salary up to $34.68/hour ($72,381/year) and a competitive total compensation package.
Responsibilities
- Performing pavement maintenance (pothole patching, culvert cleaning, sign installation, vegetation removal, paint striping)
- Operating various vehicles and small power tools used in road maintenance activities
- Performing preventive maintenance on various equipment, such as trucks, other vehicles, and equipment, needed for road maintenance activities
Requirements
- A current, valid driver's license
- Experience in road construction and maintenance
- A commitment to working safely
- An ability to use light mechanical machines and hand tools
- An ability to follow through when given multiple directions and complete work accurately
- A dependable, strong work ethic, and a positive team player attitude
Qualifications
- Some experience in road construction or maintenance work that includes the use of light mechanical machines, hand tools, and in performing heavy physical labor
Skills
- Power tool operation training
- Commercial Driver's License (Class A or Class B)
- Heavy Equipment operation certification
- CPR & First Aid
- Flagger Certification
