Tampa Bay Girls Academy (TBGA) is a secure facility comprised of multiple co-located residential commitment programs serving high-risk and max-risk females aged 12-21. These programs provide services utilizing evidence-based practices to offer comprehensive care, treatment, and supervision. Youth also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling.
Responsibilities
- Perform work orders such as general building maintenance, changing light bulbs, minor electrical repairs, repairing drywall, painting, sheetrock, adjusting locks and hardware, minor plumbing repairs, unplugging drains, re-lighting, maintaining smoke detectors and emergency lights, and grounds maintenance.
- Maintain the vehicle fleet.
- Complete required reports and documentation in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Possess a high school diploma.
- Prior building maintenance experience preferred.
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record for the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
- Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week on a designated schedule with the possibility of a varied schedule and overtime.
