About the role
The Electro Mechanic Trainer (Professional Path) is part of Alcon's Training & Development function. This role focuses on enhancing employee skills, knowledge, and performance through technical training, ensuring consistent delivery and onboarding.
Responsibilities
- Design, schedule, deliver, and track technical training, establishing training and education modules for consistent onboarding
- Run a train-the-trainer program and qualify area trainers for content delivery
- Develop training materials and knowledge assessments for area standard operation procedures, collaborating with functional areas to coordinate these assessments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document training and processes
- Utilize training authoring and multimedia tools and software for development projects
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competition, training and development research, learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques
- Incorporate feedback from training sessions into future training content
- Follow all GxP regulations by adhering to SOPs, maintaining accurate documentation, completing required training, and ensuring consistent quality in all work
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +8 yrs; Assoc.+4 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
Qualifications
- Experience in electrical/mechanical troubleshooting and repair
- Knowledge of industrial maintenance practices and procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM EST – 5:00 PM EST. Some schedule flexibility may be required to accommodate training for night shift teams.
