Maintenance Technician Trainee - Lawton, OK
Pay Rate: $32.97–$37.09 upon completion of 10-month training
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM during training; transitioning to rotating shift after training is complete

Responsibilities
- Participate and successfully complete our Maintenance Technician Trainee program, gaining knowledge and experience in:
- Performing maintenance and repairs on a diverse range of equipment to ensure optimum operating conditions and uptime across all related crafts
- Machine shop equipment, electronic industrial systems, PLCs, variable frequency drives, servo drives, power distribution, instrumentation, preventative maintenance, human-machine interfaces, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machines and drive power distribution systems, instrumentation, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems
- Performing PLC maintenance and addressing issues
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues
- Interpreting blueprints, sketches, maintenance manuals, and manufacturing specifications
- Cutting, forming, threading, fitting, and installing piping for air, water, steam, oil, nitrogen, gas, and other lines
- Preparing and welding in flat, vertical, or overhead positions using multiple technologies
- Logging or using a computerized work order system for repair and maintenance activities
- Abide by safe work standards, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), Fall Protection, Confined Spaces, and appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), NFPA 70E (Arc flash)
- Adhere to Goodyear’s attendance policy
- Perform a variety of manual tasks in varying temperatures for extended periods, which may include lifting light to heavy materials, climbing, standing, squatting, bending, and working at heights
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future
- Required to lift heavy materials, climb, stand, squat, bend, and work at heights with or without reasonable accommodations
- Must successfully complete all pre-employment criteria
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, or overtime if applicable
- Basic computer skills
- Must provide basic tools
Preferred Qualifications
- AAS degree in Industrial Systems Technology, Electrical Systems Technology, or equivalent technical degree
- Previous industrial manufacturing experience with basic knowledge and understanding of machine technology, construction, operation of heavy industrial machinery, and power/control devices
- Experience adhering to industry-specific safety standards
