Responsibilities
- Address resident service requests promptly
- Perform hands-on maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, and more
- Prepare market-ready apartments and maintain community grounds
- Conduct regular community inspections to identify necessary repairs or replacements
Requirements
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC equipment (if applicable), and perform interior repairs and painting (preferred)
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of federal and state apartment housing laws
- Valid driver's license, good driving record, auto insurance, and reliable transportation (required if operating a motorized vehicle during workday and/or as part of role)
- Computer literacy and effective communication skills (must be able to communicate both orally and in writing in English for all work-related purposes)
- Able to work any assigned shift, including weekends (shifts may change according to business needs)
- Able to respond to emergencies after normal business hours and on weekends when assigned on-call responsibilities (must provide a telephone number where you can be reached after-hours)
- Able to perform numerous physical activities that require considerable use of hands, arms, and legs and moving whole body, including prolonged or repeated standing, walking, climbing, sweeping, stooping, kneeling, shoveling, crouching, lifting and handling of materials (ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently)
- Able to use own smartphone to perform certain aspects of job (service team employees, with limited exceptions, required to use own smartphone)
Qualifications
- Trade school certification/diploma
- EPA Section 608 Type I, Type II or Universal certification
- Residential or commercial property management, hospitality, or retail experience (bonus qualification)
