About the Role
The Maintenance Technician assists with the maintenance program for the community and preserves the value of the asset. This role maintains the community’s interior and exterior physical condition and is customer service-driven.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, professional, and OSHA-approved work environment
- Assist with maintenance operations and repairs of the property
- Monitor inventory of parts and supplies
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Report time and attendance
- Conduct daily inspections of the community
- Understand and adhere to Landmark Properties policies and procedures
- Ensure confidentiality of resident and company information
- Understand the needs and expectations of residents and exceed them
- Develop a sense of community among residents and staff
- Maintain active and effective communication with residents and parents
- Foster a positive community environment and encourage participation in events
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with organizing and implementing a successful turn
- Complete service requests in a timely manner
- Be available on weekends and after hours for emergency calls
- Understand, communicate, and enforce safety, emergency, and fire evacuation policies
- Provide emergency response and referral services
- Document and address lease violations or illegal resident behaviors
- Identify and address safety and security risks
- Inspect the physical condition of the property and report problems
Requirements
- 2 years’ experience with electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair
- Excellent communication and people skills
- HVAC certification preferred
- Computer literacy preferred
Work Environment
The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Requires close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus
